Children living in a child-headed household rarely cope despite the romantic notion that the eldest sibling usually manages to keep the family together. They are all extremely vulnerable to a wide range of problems and abuses, have little chance of an education, and are at risk of losing their family home and land to the unscrupulous.  <br />
